I make sure I am protected against spyware, adware and viruses most of all during Xmas...

It may sound a bit obvious but I know people who don't even use these software during the year. The more you visit web pages more likely you can get some infections.

Remove adware and spyware using #1 anti adware software. The one I use.
Remove viruses using Free Avast.com version.
